Games Global (Microgaming) · 2011 · chamber of spins / wild desire
Immortal Romance: a 2011 slot that learned portrait
Fifteen years old and it renders upright, which is more than Book of Dead manages five years its junior. It takes 2.9 seconds and the buttons are small.
The phone check
Upright, the spin button shrinks and the bet stepper crowds it. A wide thumb hits the wrong one. The demo pulls about 12 MB before the first tap registers, which on a poor bar is where the 2.9 s goes. Getting money back out is a separate count and we keep it at cashout.
One build, one return figure
Games Global (Microgaming) licenses a single build of this one, at 96.86%. The figure in the game's rules footer will match the figure above, every time. That is not true of the 123 titles here that ship in more than one configuration.
Old game, patched properly
Games Global rebuilt the wrapper rather than leaving the original in a frame, so portrait works and the chamber of spins menu is navigable with a thumb. The four character bonus modes each open a full screen panel, which is the right decision on a phone.
Controls upright are cramped. Spin, bet and the paytable button share a narrow row.
Numbers
96.86% on one build, which is high for its era. Thirty cents a spin means about 67 spins on a twenty, so this is not a cheap demo to run. Medium volatility, 12,150x ceiling, 243 ways.
