Two people write this site. No freelance pool, no syndicated filler, no bylines that belong to nobody.
The desk
Loon Picks publishes from Toronto. The desk covers Canadian licensed operators that ship a native app, which is a smaller field than the ad spend suggests.
The split is simple. One person owns the numbers, one owns the feed. Both read every page before it goes live, and both names sit behind the method at how we rate.
There are no social profiles attached to either byline. Corrections go to the desk, not to a timeline.
Devon Mackay, teardowns
Devon runs the teardown section. That means package sizes on both platforms, release history over 90 days, review text sorted by the screen it names, and the tap count from home screen to submitted withdrawal.
Background is mobile QA rather than gambling media, which is why the pages read like release notes and not like brochures. Devon is the reason a 27MB size jump gets its own line.
Devon also maintains the ordering rules behind the ranked list and updates a position the day a cashier flow changes.
Priya Raman, daily feed
Priya writes the 9am cards at picks: the app, the offer, the skip. Three a day, weekdays, dated and numbered.
She reads operator terms pages for a living, which is a specific kind of punishment. Wagering requirements, expiry clocks and payout windows in the feed are quoted from those published terms and attributed to them. What she adds is the arithmetic those terms imply, which is a fact about the offer rather than a mark against the room that wrote it.
Priya owns the skip card, and she keeps the archive intact. Nothing gets deleted after it ages, including the calls that did not hold up.
Corrections and contact
Challenge a number and it gets checked. Send the app version and the platform to [email protected]; a store listing settles most disputes in about five minutes.
Confirmed errors are fixed on the page with a date stamp and the old figure struck through, not quietly overwritten.
Operator PR gets read and rarely quoted. Nobody outside these two sees a page before it publishes. Commercial arrangements are set out in full at how we rate and in terms.
