Safety and the law
What is the gambling industry?
The gambling industry is operators plus the suppliers behind them: platform companies, game studios, payment processors, sports data firms, and marketing affiliates.
Most of the money flows from operator to supplier as a revenue share, which is why so many brands run on the same handful of platforms.
Who does what
Operators hold the licence and the customer relationship. Platform providers supply the machinery. Studios build the games and take a share of the revenue their titles generate.
Sports data companies sell the feeds that make live betting possible, and that market is remarkably concentrated. Payment firms take a cut of every deposit and withdrawal.
Affiliates, including this site, send traffic and get paid for accounts that open.
Where we sit, stated plainly
We get paid when somebody opens an account through a link here. That is the business model and there is no version of this site where it is hidden in a footer.
What it does not touch is the order or the numbers. Install size, taps to withdraw, friction screens and payout medians are fields, computed the same way for every operator, and no commercial arrangement changes a field. The ratings method states the weights.
Scale and direction
Online has been taking share from land-based for two decades, and mobile has been taking share from desktop inside that. In-play betting is the fastest-growing product in the sportsbook half.
That direction is why this publication only reviews things you can hold. A desktop-first review of a product used almost entirely on phones is a review of something nobody is doing.
